I first saw this product on my Instagram account. There was video of someone doing a "Rockin' Green Active Wear Challenge" and it definitely caught my eye. Why? 

1. I teach group fitness classes and have some super sweaty workout gear that I wash each week. My husband also works out 5 days a week. So we have some stinky stuff.

2. I like visible results. You know how when you clean the carpets you get to dump out all that gross water at the end and it's just incredibly satisfying (and gross)? Well, the challenge is basically the same thing...only for your clothes.

So, I ordered my Rockin' Green Platinum Series Active Wear detergent online for $18.95 + shipping & handling and have been waiting to try my very own #activewearchallenge. Shipping was a little slow but it finally arrived and the first thing I did was grab my BEDSHEETS!

I'm all for having clean active wear but when I saw this chic saying she had done her sheets...I WAS IN! I mean, who wants to sleep on dirty disgusting sheets. I took our white bed sheets, purchased about 3-6 months ago and washed weekly, I washed them like normal with our usual detergent. Then I put them in our bathtub with 2 Tbsp of Rockin' Green Platinum Series Active Wear detergent and set my timer for 60 minutes per the instructions. And I waited...

If you're like me, you're wondering if the detergent itself isn't a dingy color, therefore producing dingy water results. So I took a pic of the water being NON-dingy despite having the Rockin' Green Active Wear detergent in it.

60 minutes later...I rush into the bathroom to see if there is disgusting and gross water! Here's what I saw:

Yeah. I wasn't super impressed either. On one hand...I haven't been sleeping in disgusting filth! On the other hand...no cool reveal moment wa-wa-waaahhhh!

SCAM OR STEAL? Well, I didn't get filthy water but I did get barely dirty water. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a scam but it didn't work as well as they promised. I haven't tried my actual active wear yet so if I get a different result with those items I will totally be posting an update. I would probably buy this product once a year and wash all the things one time to get any extra build-up out. But I would not buy it regularly.
